Host Defined
One of the organisms in a parasitic relationship. A parasite grows on or inside the host. The host is not helped by the parasite, and is usually harmed. For example, Common Milkweed is a host plant of the Monarch butterfly. Monarch caterpillars eat milkweed as they grow.
